Marazion beach situated in Mount's Bay, Marazion, Cornwall. Its name derives from the markets held there, the earliest recorded being in 1070. Marghas Byghay (small market) and Marghas Yow or Jew (Thursday market). Language and dialect over time has led to the modern name of Marazion.
